EPISODE THREE
" No one has to know about this,or how I killed my husband ".she shouted loudly.Unknownly to her,bintu was at the door,she forgot her handkerchief and as she was about to touch the doorknob,she heard her Madam's voice and heard everything she said.
Immediately Bintu heard this,she screamed"JESUS" so loudly that mamayode came outside and asked the expected question:"wetin you hear".

Rachael awaited her sister to arrive that night but she didn't show up,she didn't hear her sister's "I don come o,where my food dey".she didn't take out the remnants of food bintu brought back from the shop.she didn't hear her sister's suspicion of mamayode the day that she came to the shop and met charity and the whole place messed up with mamayode asking them to sweep the shop again,which was so strange and unusual.
Rachael called for two hours until one o o'clock struck,then two, then three, then four before she fell helplessly asleep on the 10 year old Mat they had scince Rachael was ten and snored like a dirty pig running around in broad daylight.
Charity visited mamayode one sunny Wednesday afternoon after she had finished serving her customers.she sat on a high stool and waited for mamayode to talk with her.
Mamayode didn't want to come at first,but knowing that her friend came all the way from the united kingdom to see her,she grew rapidly guilty and soon found herself talking with charity and adjusting her wrapper from time to time.
Charity spoke:"I know you don't want yo speak to me but it's alright.i noticed you have only one female worker.......where is she?
"I.....I no....no where she dey ".mamayode spoke,scared that she might ask further questions and find out the truth.she had already tied the mouths of her workers so nobody could gossip or say anything as regards to bintu's disappearance..
"em...see.....forget that matter,how you dey na,wetin you dey find for my shop".
"Yode,no naw you don pass this level ,shey you suppose dey package,dey speak English.You don forget say we finish secondary school together.Yode,you've changed o.And I'm telling you this as a good friend that I am.You've become so secretive even to me....."
"Charity"she shouted so loud that all her customers looked at her.she apologized to her customers and sent charity away, telling her not to step foot in her shop again
Mamayode closed for the day and went to her usual spot to collect her sacred water.she was about to collect the bucket from the attendant when her phone rang.It was bintu's sister,asking about her whereabouts. Immediately she heared Rachael's voice,she hung up and hurriedly dragged the water from the MORTUARY ATTENDANT.

EPISODE TWO
The loud sound was coming from the back of the kitchen door."who be dat"she shouted,slightly scared.There was no response,only loud early morning creaks from the frogs and crickets."who be dat person wey dey knock for my door"she said again,more louder.But instead of an answer,there was a great push on the door causing a loud noise.The person was pushing and trying to break the door open but it was still tightly shut.Mamayode thought of something to do to hide herself and her sacred water but nothing came.Then she decided to pour the water on the sink and wash her hands like someone who just washed the ugu for the soup.
Immediately she did this,the door slammed open and it was surprisingly her good old friend.
"Why were you quiet while I was knocking......
.,huh,i know about your business,how you thrive and sell your food,I know all about it.So why didn't you open the door until when I broke the door open.This was the question she couldn't answer.she didn't know if her friend charity knew about her sacred water or about all her secret movements.she wasnt sure but she wanted to find out.
"Yode......Mamayode.....,why is there water on the floor.......and why does here stink.I thought this was your kitchen,isn't it supposed to smell nice,but its smelling like rotten garbage.Eehn,answer me na.
She was mute through out charity's questioning,she didn't know how to explain to her about all her secrets.
"See we'll talk later I need to cook before.........."gboooa"The door opened and all her workers looked at her surprisingly,unable to say a word until mamayode spoke,samad,Alex, bintu,oya gather yourselves and sweep the shop.
"Madam",bintu said. We don do am already,you don forget say you say make we no enter your shop if we never sweep your shop abi......you dey hide something from us"
"Shut up,mamayode thundered,I say make you go sweep that shop you con they follow me dey talk anyhow,I go show you anyhow now,radarada oshi.
"I think I should take my leave scince I'm not much needed here". Charity said quite disappointed at her friend's sudden change of behaviour.
Charity and yode were best of friends and even schooled together until when charity left the village to become a doctor and yode,a full time house wife at the age of 17.she had her three miscarriages which took away her fertility.but she could never tell anyone this,not even to her best friend about her husband's disappearance.

THE WATER OF MAMAYODE
"Bring the water,hold this cup,wash those plates wella wella.Hey,you dey mad come on carry the meat and boil jor".
Mamayode shouted fiercely with anger on her face.she ran a restaurant and had lots of customers which made a once happy woman cruel.she was once a cheerful giver until she started her resturant business,everything changed.
She had no children,no husband,no family,no one knows them or where they are.when they ask,she just says"Them don die".No one knows the full story.
All her workers worked every day tirelessly for just peanuts.she pays them 11,000 naira every month for a 7pm to 8pm business.it looks fair to her because everytime,she just says "Eehen,wetin dem dey do,nobi to wash plate and serve customer,na dem they bring the water and the ingredient wey I dey use take cook?"
No one does because she never allows them to help her cook,she always gets to the shop before them and cooks before they all arrive,so no one has ever met her cooking because he had a very DARK SECRET.
The next morning,mama yode set out early in the morning to cook her special assorted gbegiri and ewedu ,rice and plantain sauce and foreign sushi for her American customer.she quickly took out her special water and began to cook.she wasnt even close to finishing when she had three loud knocks on the door"gboom gboom gboom".Who was that,she didn't know.
