Title: My Worst Mistake (Part 1)
I’m not even writing this for pity… I just need to get it off my chest.
So this happened to a friend of mine.
She met this guy online. At first, it was just normal chats—nothing serious. He was funny, always checking up on her, sending good morning messages like he actually cared.
You know that kind of attention that makes you start smiling at your phone for no reason? Yeah… that one.
At first, she wasn’t even interested. But the guy was consistent. Calls, texts, even video calls. He made everything feel real.
After some weeks, he started talking about how he wanted to support her, how he hated seeing her stressed. He even sent small money once or twice.
That was when she started trusting him.
One day, he told her about an “opportunity” on one app. Said he was making money from it and wanted her to join so she wouldn’t depend on anyone again.
She was skeptical… but he kept convincing her.
“Just try small,” he said.
“I’ll guide you.”
So she did.
At first, everything looked real. Her balance was increasing, she was even excited. The guy kept encouraging her to put in a little more so she could earn bigger.
She hesitated…
But at that point, she already trusted him.
That was the moment everything changed.

I told my husband “communication is key in marriage.”
Now he updates me with everything.
“Baby I’m turning left… baby I’ve reached the gate… baby I’m breathing…”
Sir, I didn’t mean CCTV
