First, my mum was gone..like a light switched off without warning. The house became quieter, emptier… wrong. Before I could even understand that pain, my dad followed. Just like that, I was alone.
People said, “Be strong.”
But no one showed me how.
Days turned into survival hungry nights, silent tears, watching other kids laugh with families I could only remember. I grew up faster than I should have, carrying a weight that never really leaves.
Life didn’t ask if I was ready.

And somehow… I had to keep going too.
