THIS IS WHAT BITTERNESS CAN DO IN YOUR LIFE – APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN
There are some people with levels of godlike efficiency, and it is because they have worked on themselves. When you hear a person speak in an exceptional way, he was not born that way. When you see a person so healthy and strong, they were not born that way; they took responsibility for their lives.
Do not hate yourself. If you hate yourself, you will hate everybody around you. You will spill your hatred onto everyone around you. For someone, you need to go back to God in prayer and ask Him for mercy, and for Him to remove bitterness from your life.
We live in a world that is so negative, so angry at others’ progress. You hear that someone is getting married, and you are angry. You hear that someone has acquired land for ministry, and you are angry. People hide behind issues to express and project their hatred for themselves.
It is time to let that emotional baggage go. God cannot use you as a great person if you are the kind of individual who is always trying to find out whether someone is doing better than you. Just know that this kind of emotional torture will destroy you. I do not allow hate to live in my world; I celebrate people as much as I can.
You can be secure in yourself, secure in who God has made you, and grateful for what He is yet to make out of you. When you see something you desire, you can provoke yourself unto godliness to improve; it does not mean that you should sit back and walk in envy.
