Reason for Suspension
The suspension aligns with the Digital, Electronic, Online or Non-Traditional Consumer Lending Regulations, 2025, issued by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), which requires new licensing for airtime and data lending. Operators were required to complete registration by April 2026 to ensure compliance with, and ethical standards for, digital lending.
