  • JESUS DID NOT CURSE THE FIG TREE BECAUSE HE WAS HUNGRY.

HE CURSED IT BECAUSE IT WAS PRETENDING.

When you read the account in Mark 11:12–14, it can seem confusing at first.

Jesus approaches a fig tree looking for fruit…
    finds none…

    and then curses it.

But this was not about food.

    This was about fruit.

In the first-century context, fig trees were known for something important:

If a fig tree had leaves, it was supposed to have early fruit.

    Leaves were a sign.

    A signal.

An announcement that fruit should be there.

But this tree had appearance without substance.

    It looked fruitful…

    but had nothing to offer.

    And Jesus responds by saying:

“May no one ever eat fruit from you again.”

The Greek word used for fruit is (karpos)
which means result, produce, evidence of life.

    This wasn’t just about figs.

    This was a prophetic act.

Throughout the Old Testament, Israel is often symbolized as a fig tree.

A nation that had religious appearance…

but lacked true righteousness and obedience.

So when Jesus cursed the fig tree…

    He was exposing something deeper:

God is not impressed with appearance.
    He is looking for fruit.

    Now bring this to today.

There are many people who have leaves.

    They look the part.

    They know the language.

    They can quote Scripture.

    They have platforms.

    They have followers.

    They have titles.

But when you examine their lives…

    there is no karpos.

    No real fruit.

    No transformation.

    No holiness.

    No evidence of God’s work.

    Just appearance.

  • HOW TO PROVOKE THE FAVOUR OF GOD – APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN

You can provoke favour through prayer. Favour is one of those systems of advantage that can be activated in prayer. You can pray favour into your life.

When God says “Amen” to your prayer, it is truly “Amen.” When favour is on you, God can use someone like Pharaoh to give you what belongs to you. Everything has riches in it; it only hides it. It is only favour that allows you to access and receive it.

There are many of you right now for whom, truthfully, with the current price of land, physically speaking, you may never be able to build a house in your lifetime. But favour can give you the opportunity to do so. Favour is not a call to irresponsibility; it is a system of advantage. Among the many prayers you will ever pray, pray favour-provoking prayers.

Favour comes from God, but it also comes from God through men. So when you exalt men because of favour, you are in trouble. Truly, God can give favour to men; God can pick you and give an instruction to men to honour you. And in one week, God can use men to change your life in a way that will make you almost afraid of your own testimony.

  • Dear God, and everyone on this earth ,

May we come together as one family, united in love, kindness, and compassion. Let's spread peace, understanding, and harmony across our planet. May our differences be the threads that weave a beautiful tapestry of diversity, and may our shared humanity be the foundation of our strength.

Let's cherish our Mother Earth, protect her, and preserve her beauty for future generations. May we be the change we wish to see, and may love guide our actions every day.

    Amen, and thank you, everyone

    #Amen
