  • HIGHER EVERYDAY

    MONDAY APRIL 20, 2026

    ASK GOD FOR WISDOM

    TEXT: JAMES 1:5-8

MEMORY VERSE: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him" (JAMES 1:5).

In our journey through life, the call to seek wisdom is one that resonates deeply within our hearts. Our memory verse from James 1:5, states, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." This profound promise assures us that God is willing to bestow wisdom upon those who earnestly seek it.

The wisdom we seek is not merely the accumulation of knowledge or intelligence; it transcends human understanding. It is a divine, spiritual wisdom that aligns with God's will. As we reflect on the nature of this wisdom, we recognize that it is characterised by purity, peace, gentleness, and a willingness to yield (James 3:17). This wisdom is essentially for navigating the complexities of life, making decisions that glorify God, and fostering healthy relationships. We must not rely solely on our understanding or experience but should continuously seek the wisdom that comes from God. Let us make it a priority to ask God for wisdom, trusting in His promise to give it abundantly.

QUOTE: Seek the wisdom that comes from God.

CHALLENGE: With God's wisdom, we can overcome life's complexities.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I need Your divine wisdom in my life.

  • THIS IS WHAT BITTERNESS CAN DO IN YOUR LIFE – APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN

There are some people with levels of godlike efficiency, and it is because they have worked on themselves. When you hear a person speak in an exceptional way, he was not born that way. When you see a person so healthy and strong, they were not born that way; they took responsibility for their lives.

Do not hate yourself. If you hate yourself, you will hate everybody around you. You will spill your hatred onto everyone around you. For someone, you need to go back to God in prayer and ask Him for mercy, and for Him to remove bitterness from your life.

We live in a world that is so negative, so angry at others’ progress. You hear that someone is getting married, and you are angry. You hear that someone has acquired land for ministry, and you are angry. People hide behind issues to express and project their hatred for themselves.

It is time to let that emotional baggage go. God cannot use you as a great person if you are the kind of individual who is always trying to find out whether someone is doing better than you. Just know that this kind of emotional torture will destroy you. I do not allow hate to live in my world; I celebrate people as much as I can.

You can be secure in yourself, secure in who God has made you, and grateful for what He is yet to make out of you. When you see something you desire, you can provoke yourself unto godliness to improve; it does not mean that you should sit back and walk in envy.

  • At 30 as a man, you need to get serious about your life. Delete numbers, stay away from love that isn't real, hustle harder, get your health right, your spirit right, your mental right. You gotta demand some respect, not just from people, but from yourself.

  • SOME LESSONS CAN'T BE TAUGHT BE THEY HAVE TO BE LIVED.

Here are 15 lessons only life experience will ever teach you.

    1. Nobody is coming to save you.
Help sounds nice. Rescue is a fantasy. Men save themselves.

    2. Motivation is useless without discipline.

You won’t feel like doing the work most days. Do it anyway.

    3. Comfort is more dangerous than failure.

Failure teaches. Comfort numbs. That’s how dreams die quietly.

    4. Being “nice” won’t earn respect.

Boundaries do. Standards do. Spine does.

    5. Most people won’t clap when you level up.

Your growth exposes their excuses. Expect silence. Or hate.

    6. Your circle determines your ceiling.

If they’re lazy, broke, and bitter so will you be.

    7. Confidence comes after action, not before.

Act scared. Act unsure. Confidence is built, not found.

    8. Love doesn’t fix a broken man.

Money won’t either. Build yourself first.

    9. Time is more valuable than money.

Money can be earned again. Time is gone forever.

    10. Discipline compounds faster than talent.

Average men with consistency destroy gifted men with excuses.

    11. You pay for every shortcut with interest.

    Cheap habits create expensive problems.

    12. Your body is your first business.

If you can’t control your health, don’t talk about success.

    13. Silence is power.

Move quietly. Let results speak. Loud men leak plans.

    14. Pain is the tuition for wisdom.

No pain. No growth. No exceptions.

    15. Legacy is built daily, not announced online.

How you live when no one’s watching—that’s the truth.

  • A perfect life doesn’t really exist—there will always be ups and downs. But a sweet life? That’s real. It’s the little things: peace of mind, genuine love, good health, growth, and moments that make you smile without forcing it.
    A sweet life means:
Being okay even when everything isn’t perfect
    Choosing peace over unnecessary stress
Loving and being loved the right way
Growing through what you go through
Appreciating small wins, not just big ones
You don’t need everything to go right—you just need the right mindset and the right energy around you.

  • A relationship should never feel like you’re forcing your way into someone’s life.

At the same time, it’s worth keeping it balanced and healthy:

Love isn’t by force—mutual effort matters

If someone clearly doesn’t value you, step back with dignity

But don’t shut down your ability to care—connection is human

You’re not an option, but neither is the other person—respect goes both ways

A better mindset is: “I choose people who choose me.”

Know your worth, but also stay open, mature, and self-aware.
The right people won’t make you beg for attention—they will meet you halfway and value your presence naturally.

  • They were with you just for a reason. Let them go.For a better you, those who leaved taught you good lessons and it never meant you were not good to them.
You can’t force people to stay

What’s meant for you will align with you over time

Every ending creates space for something new

A healthier mindset is: “What left has played its part—now I’m open to what’s next.”

New beginnings are real. Growth is real. And your story doesn’t end because someone walked away—it simply turns a new page.
